Isn’t it Rain a very beautiful “happening” in our world? Mido, one of my friends gifted me “PURITY” by Mythos (no special occasion though!), last week. She is a crazy fan of Mythos and wanted to know how I feel about Mythos’ latest album.
I read the liner notes of the album “Mythos provides a multi-layered musical experience that can be listened to on many levels.” And my own experience listening to this music album affirms that Purity is indeed mutli-layered (like a delicious cake!!).
Track Icarus caught hold of my senses at first listening than any other tracks. I like the fast beats and passionate keyboard music of this track. …read more

Sometimes I wonder if I’m just justifying album name or track name with the music (with my imagination extended when they don’t justify, naturally). Thank God! Louis Banks saves me from such guilty feeling. Wonder how? Simple, Mido. As simple as listening to his album Love is in the Air: Music for Romance – II and read my post calling it RomanceLess (RomanceNONE better and apt!)

Mido, I wish you all a very happy friendship day!
Today after talking with my friends with whom I had not talked for a long, I’m extremely happy! Surely a day such this unites friends amidst all the busyness that the world requires. Writing about Music of the Seas, I feel it’d be appropriate to add another water theme music here. Elements Water by Shiv Kumar Sharma complements the Music of the Seas.
The album features 5 irregularly lengthy tracks

For Catharsis
In my introductory post on Music of the Seas, I said “the album moves towards the shore rather than deep sea.” I stress this again. The album is not about different elemental music of Sea (sounds produced by water in the sea). Rather, it explorers the music of the life around the sea, music of the life that is centering on sea. It’s an Epic in music representing a mixture of feelings and a state of being for everyone.

Writing on Al Gromer Khan is a bit tough! Listening to his composition is still more tougher. Mido, not that I make fun of him (I paid him that tribute over there) but seriously speaking, it’s difficult to listen to his music without finding yourself doing some other (even, sleeping) largely ignoring the music. That’s not Gromer’s fault. His is ambient style New Age music and it’s how it is meant to be.

Mido, today I’m writing on a very special music album (at least to me): Soundscapes, Music of the Seas, by Bhaskar Chandavarkar. Believe it or not, I’m listening to this album for almost 7 years in row (3 yrs non-stop, till the tape breathed its last, and 4 more years in cds till date at irregular intervals, but still often).
