This technique, for the nighttime, consiists of four stages of fifteen minutes each. The first two stages are preparation for the spontaneous Latihan of the third stage. If the breathing is done correctly in the first stage, the carbon dioxide formed in the bloodstream will make you feel as high as Gourishankar (Mt. Everest).
First Stage: 15 minutes

Buddha Bar is Good, SpaceSex is Wonderful

Buddha Bar is Good, SpaceSex is Wonderful

Buddha bar is good. No doubt about it. The countless fans and the very popularity of the series seen by the number of googlings for the name say all. I love listening to the Buddha Bar series for the cocktail experience of the world music. And if you love the Buddha Bar Series, then I’ll recommend another music album mixed by Claude Challe and his brother Jean-Marc Challe: SpaceSex (with no space between space and sex!!).
Equally good as Buddha Bar, SpaceSex is one the most exotic music albums. Unlike other lovemaking ambient music that I dealt earlier on …read more

Sacred Chants of Shiva | Art of Living

Sacred Chants of Shiva | Art of Living

If there is one music album that you will ask me to recommend for meditation, I’ll not recommend Turya or Chants of Buddha or any other, except Sacred Chants of Shiva. It is one of the very best (I use the word ‘very best’ sparingly, so that it has its meaning) music albums for meditation. Very classical in approach, the tracks produce vibrations that take you deep into meditative state. I concentrate on my third eye while listening to these tracks and I enjoy the experience I get. The album contains 6 tracks in all, 5 of which are sacred …read more

Ganga is a very sacred river in the Indian Mythology. Countless stories exist that tell you the sacredness of Ganga. And here are three great musicians that India ever had, giving a tribute to this sacred river through their music compositions: Ode to Ganga.
The album contains two tracks by Shiv Kumar Sharma, one by Hari Prasad Charausia and one by Vishwa Mohan Batt.

Mudra remixes in Shiva Moon | Prem Joshua & Maneesh de Moor

Mudra remixes in Shiva Moon | Prem Joshua & Maneesh de Moor

Prem Joshua is back on my playlist after a long time… Maybe I listened to his albums too much for too long that I had kept his albums aside for sometime. Now he is again on my playlist. Many times I have said in my blog that his music album Mudra is one that I like so much and I rank it #1. And recently I began to love listening to his remix album Shiva Moon next to Mudra. Remixed by Maneesh de Moor, Shiva Moon contains some of the best remixes of Mudra, other compositions of Prem Joshua and …read more

Chants of Buddha | Craig Pruess

Chants of Buddha | Craig Pruess

Turya by Al Gromer Khan is very meditative and I have discussed the same in my last post and the last but one. It’s a meditative in the ambient style: undisturbing, anchorless. But not all of us can sink into meditative state listening to such an unobstrusive album, where the music is like breeze, not a wind. We sometimes need a kind of music that helps in coming out of the noise mind makes by attracting our attention to the music.

Chants of Buddha by Craig Pruess came to my mind immediately when I decided to recommend my midos a meditative …read more

Turya | Space ‘with in’ | Al Gromer Khan

Turya | Space ‘with in’ | Al Gromer Khan

Erotic music albums that I posted earlier on the blog were received well and I see a lot of visitors for those posts daily. In both the posts on erotic music, I selected albums only by Al Gromer Khan. So those of you who listed to them, can now understand the seductive nature of his sitar in Tandra drums and Kamasutra Experience. Yet Al Gromer Khan’s music is not about erotica alone. His music albums like Turya, Mansoon Point, Sufi are some of the best ambient music albums to sink you deep into your being.

In my last post on Turya, …read more

Music Meditation | Turya | Al Gromer Khan

Music Meditation | Turya | Al Gromer Khan

Turya is a very deep silent music…. Oh did I say silent, Mido? Put it almost ‘almost silent’. Al Gromer Khan’s Turya album has a very great significance both in its linguistic meaning and in its musical meaning. Osho (a.k.a Bhagwan Rajneesh) says beautifully about this word Turya in one of his discourse on Upanishads, and I leave the linguistic meaning to him to interpret while I write on the music in the following posts.

My short comment on this album for now is: Turiya is a Voyage Beyond. That says all about this wondeful music album for meditation. Now the …read more

My New Addiction and Yours too, maybe | Vanessa Mae | Destiny

What is happening in me? Am I becoming a Vanessa Mae addict? For the past few days I have been listening to Vanessa Mae and nothing else. Her Devil’s Thrill thrilled me much and was listening to her music albums and watching some videos on Youtube. Those who watched her Devil’s thrill will understand my addiction. Her music videos are superb and make my jaws open wide apart.
Here is another Youtube video of Vanessa Mae: Destiny —A splendid mixture of techno and classical music. Vanessa Mae plays in the center and the camera keeps rotating around her in continuous turns. …read more

Devil’s Thrill | Vanessa Mae | Time for Awe

Devil’s Thrill | Vanessa Mae | Time for Awe

Today, I have a new artist in my mind to introduce to my midos. Though the artist is not a newbie in the New Age music, she is new for New Age Vibe: Vanessa Mae, the Violin Player. I listened to her album Choreography for the first time with my friend and both of us felt a new artist is finding a place in our music rack. The pace of her music composition is something that reminded me of Beethoven and Mozart. While I review more of her albums for my midos in the blog, here is a youtube …read more
