Coming Soon on Jan29: I Stand by Idina Menzel
Highly anticipated and much awaited Idina Menzel sole debut album I Stand is going to hit stores from tomorrow (Jan 29). This Warner Bros Records feature 10 great songs, of which 9 are penned by Menzel herself. Songs include “Brave,” “Gorgeous,” “I Feel Everything,” “My Own Worst Enemy” and “I Stand” the title tune.

Inina Menzel says “I’ve always wanted to do this,” Menzel says. “It just happened to be that I got the opportunity to do ‘Rent,’ and so my life took that turn. But I’ve been writing songs since I was a teenager.”
Though “I Stand” isn’t her first studio album, Menzel calls “I Stand” as the first true reflection of her artistic sensibility. (She debuted in “Still I Can’t Be Still” at 1998 which sold 15,000 copies in US according to Nielsen SoundScan)
“My only goal was that I wasn’t going to make an album based on show tunes…I knew I wanted to do something more mainstream.”
