Kitaro’s profound Music matures with his Age | Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai, Volume 3

Kitaro, a Japanese keyboardist and a founding architect of new age music, is successful in his latest album Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai, Volume 3 which is Kitaro’s 13th Grammy nomination. He gained global acclaim for the past three decades for his mesmerizing music realm. In all his albums we find spirituality and peace pervade to take us yonder land of meditation.

Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai, Volume 3Kitaro

Inspiration for Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai, Volume 3 is taken from the pilgrimage of a Buddhist monk Ku-kai to the 88 sacred temples in Shikoku Island. The bells fuse with drums & flute at many instance of the album to bring incredible and typical new age effect. After listing to this album one could say Kitaro’s profound music matures with his age. The more I hear him the more I love him. Kitaro who never had much formal training once said “It is from heaven, going through my body and out my fingers through composing.”

‘Crystal Winds’, ‘Winds Blow over the Hill’ and ‘Circle Dance’ are my favorites in this 8 track album. I still believe I can hear the flowing ocean and soothing bells of Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai.
