Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia’ 70th Birthday

When it comes to the power of flute, there is none to rival Pandit Hariprasad. He is well known as the maestro of flute and Indian classical music. Panditji is celebrating his 70th Birthday on July 1st and his fans and students have started wishing him a month ahead.

Apart from the divine music he plays, what I like very much about him is his perception of music and the value he gives to music. These are best explained by his own words.

My Practice is my pooja. My Sargam and scales are my mantra. Power of God is what I try to convey through my music.
