Primarily a composer, Dimo Mitchev developed a keen ear for the ethnical sounds of the world’s many musical styles, like mostly exposed to Medieval and Renaissance music.
These experiences, along with an appreciation for the inherent beauty of the sounds lead him far away from his homeland into the cold Moscow, where he recorded “Bard’s Fly” with the help of students from Russian Academy of Music (Gnesin).

Most of the compositions revolve around the classical instruments as harp, violin, violoncello, bassoon, oboe, flute and etc. In the context of his music, however the mix of Ancient and Modern helps to transport the listener into new realms bound only by the imagination.

When listening to his music, one can feel a concern for the planet and an awareness of the dangers to life in a shrinking world. But there is also a sense of hope and a positive life energy that balances these concerns. In a world facing complex and overwhelming difficulty, his music creates an atmosphere of calm, peace and understanding.

Dreamcatcher is a compilation of “best of” Secret Garden’s first 3 albums: ‘White Stones’, ‘Songs From A Secret Garden’ and ‘Dawn Of A New Century’ plus one new “bonus” track. Though especially created for the UK market, Dreamcatcher is doubtlessly excellent piece of work for any one who is new to Secret Garden. Influenced by New age, Celtic, Norwegian folk and classical music, the album wrap us in a dreamy, arousing, soothing and relaxing mood.

When Lore of the Loom, Elan, Steps bring joy, dancing and fast-beat music, Passacaglia is a wonderful melody. Sure I can’t forget the tears that brought by Hymn to hope and Song From A Secret Garden. Typical sound of drums and guitar in ‘The Rap’ and chores in In Our Tears are remarkable. Dawn of a new century is like an opening note for a new dawn of a new day. Among the 19 tracks my favorite tracks are Nocturne (Eurovision winning entry), Moving, Dreamcatcher, Song From A Secret Garden and Passacaglia. As a whole, Dreamcatcher is perfect as well as immaculately beautiful for this spring.

I am one among many who love Celtic Woman girls and their Celtic Woman: A New Journey Album. When I played the songs I am completely blown away by the angelic and melodic nature of the music. The soft, soothing and hypnotizing voice of Chloe, Orla, Lisa, Meav, and Hayley are so moving and alluring when orchestral background and chorus blend with traditional instruments.

These Irish folks are filled with extraordinary talent and have typical touch in evoking ones deep feelings by their awesome music. Some tracks like ‘The Sky And The Dawn And The Sun’, ‘The Prayer’, ‘Carrickfergus’ and ‘Granuaile’s Dance’ are really excellent and are my favorites. I played them over and over. Hope you enjoy the same!
