Why people still listen to Paint the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya?

I have noticed more number of people listen to Paint the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya, though the album had been released a couple of year ago. Some of my online friends say that this is their favorite Enya album which pulls them towards the ocean of Enya’s celtic fusion.

Who is Anaya? Isn’t it sounds like Enya?

Anaya, who is she? As soon as I saw this name I got struck with Enya. Quite for a moment my clever and seeming stupid mind thought, will she be Enya’s sister or has any connection with Enya?

But actually Anaya is a Brazilian Composer, performer, singer and producer with an international profile performing new age, ambient and world soundscapes. As an independent artist she has released 34 CDs which reflects her involvement of music therapy. She explains how music is for her:

“Music for me is the sound of light. Experiencing music is experiencing the holomonic uniqueness of being, the fourth holomonic dimension, where creation and creator re-connect. In this manner other dimensions of creativity and living the now come together harmoniously. Music gives us the support to integrate and transcend. The creator being has been present throughout time and music brings us sweetly to the present moment so that we can experience the essence. Music put to words is beautiful, just as is poetry put to music. It is culturally motivated. So-called essential music is pure sound – it is creation and illumination. The magic of sound appears amidst silence, in the emptiness of profound feelings of love and communion with holos, which the sound universe called sonosphere. Enya’s Amarantine, a Perfect Musical Treat

Most of my midos know that I am a great fan of Enya. Lyrics and music goes in hand in almost all Enya’s albums. I could better say ‘The Lyrics are highly musical’ and ‘The Music is tremendously lyrical’. In no way we can miss her chorus that gives a beautiful touch to her tracks. Enya’s Amarantine is another perfect musical treat from Enya team: Enya (the composer /performer), Nicky Ryan (producer) and Roma Ryan (lyrics) who never disappoints their fans. This Grammy Award (2006) winning album has three songs sung in Loxian, an imaginary Elvish-like language.

“Less Than a Pearl” and “Drifting,” are with gothic touch while “The River Sings”, “Amarantine”, and “Long Long Journey” are with catchy chorus as well as fine sounds he has done. Though there quite few who say there is nothing new in this album, none of us could deny Amarantine is an amazing and unique piece of Enya. This album is great when you need to relax and unwind after a long day of work. You will enjoy more every time you play it.
