Dog Gone Classical Music: Mozart

Never heard of such albums in my life: music to keep the pet dog happy. I wonder how it works! Driven by curiosity, am purchasing this music album while posting this. I’m going to test it with my dog: Shiva, the enlightened dog, and review it here. While humans still struggle to understand the […]

How much does taste differ?

This is a track from The Heart of Reiki by Merlin’s Magic. I like this track and was giving a thought to purchase it. But now am divided: a glance at Amazon customer reviews makes me optionless. Wow, reviews in two extremes. I’m in a beautiful mess!

Here are some snippets form Amazon customer reviews:
Same […]

Who sung this Shiva mantra?

Just while I was watching a few videos on youtube, I came across this beautiful chanting of Shiva Mantra.  Beautiful voice and lovely music. This song is from Weaving My Ancestors’ Voices by Sheila Chandra. This is the first album of hers that I listen to.

My Favorites Boiled Down to Two

If you ask me to boil down my list of favorite tracks to just two, (why two? because Mike asked all of us just two!) I’d recommend these two tracks. For those who have been following the blog regularly, Karunesh needs no introduction nor does the track Bombay Pure, on whose remake by James Asher, […]

Moksha Mantras of Shiva

A wonderful album composed and sung by Vijayaa Shanker. This is the first album of Vijayaa Shanker that I listen to and am quite taken by her voice and music. I recommend this album to my midos who like Sacred Chants of Shiva, by Banks of Ganges.
Track Listing:

Shiva Suprabhatam 6:44
Vaid Yanathaashtakam 7:19
MargaBandhu Stotram 8:14
Shivapanchakshram 11:16
Mahamrityunjay […]

My favorite Siddharta Track

One of my favorite tracks in Siddharta I. Serene and meditative. I bought this album just after reading the novel Siddhartha by Herman Hesse and both the novel and music made me feel that I haven’t wasted my time with them.

Mantra as such is very short– just four lines:
Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah,
Tat […]

Some Dusts Gathered on my Shopping Cart

Long before I gathered a few clay stones when looking out for pebbles and I did mercilessly voice my sarcastic tone at them. That was when I found a romanceless album calling itself Music for Romance and a clear massacre of a lovely music (Bombay Pure) in the name of “remake” by James Asher.
Here is […]
