Unkept Promise::Music of Spheres::

In February I wrote a pre-release post on Music of Spheres with much ado from Mike about the music theory behind the music. I recently bought this album fascinated by the claims:
Music of the Spheres is my interpretation of this theory. Every planet and every star; even the whole universe has music within it that no-one can hear, this is what it would sound like if it was set free. This is Music of the Spheres.
To be frank, Music of Spheres means nothing new to me as does the theory behind it sounds: Old wine in new bottle. But still …read more

Natasha Miren | blooming ambient musician

Copyright Natasha Miren.
Many months ago, Natasha Miren contacted me on email giving me an opportunity to listen to her music on myspace.com. I quickly listened to her music and as it happens with most other people, I listened to the track Nothern Lights (being the first track listed on myspace) fully and previewed the rest.

A few days before I visited her myspace profile and spend sometime listened to all her compositions fully and repeatedly a few. Of the 6 tracks listed, I liked 2 tracks so much that I feel myself compelled to comment on them.

Natasha’s compositions and …read more

An Album Review on Jamshied Sharifi’s One

An Album Review on Jamshied Sharifi’s One

Dear midos, recently I read an album review on Jamshied Sharifi “One” which either have known Jamshied Sharifi or his album “One” (truly speaking!). But from the review I had a great insight of the album. Reviewer Lou Novacheck has mended his words with all his love for this cd yet he has analyzed greatly. Here are the excepts from the review.
The first few notes of the first cut, also the title cut, made me do a double-take, making me check that I’d put the correct CD on. The first few seconds sounded decidedly Japanese, with a soaring female voice. …read more

Why people still listen to Paint the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya?

Why people still listen to Paint the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya?

I have noticed more number of people listen to Paint the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya, though the album had been released a couple of year ago. Some of my online friends say that this is their favorite Enya album which pulls them towards the ocean of Enya’s celtic fusion.
“In 1997 she released Paint the Sky with Stars, an assortment of her best work from these two early albums plus gems from 1995’s The Memory of Trees and the soundtrack to the BBC series The Celts. The most melodic and atmospheric examples of Enya’s lovely Celtic-flavored songwriting shine …read more

A Perfect Choice for this Spring: Secret Garden’s Dreamcatcher

All these days, from the day I started writing about Secret Garden, I got completely swept away by the mystical music of Dreamcatcher after 4 years of first listening. Personally I feel excited to share my musical experience about this album which is released (in 2001) by Norwaybased New Age duo –– violinist Fionnuala Sherry and keyboardist Rolf Lovland.

Dreamcatcher is a compilation of “best of” Secret Garden’s first 3 albums: ‘White Stones’, ‘Songs From A Secret Garden’ and ‘Dawn Of A New Century’ plus one new “bonus” track. Though especially created for the UK market, Dreamcatcher is doubtlessly excellent piece …read more

Secret Garden-Dreamcatcher and Prayer Lyrics

Secret Garden-Dreamcatcher and Prayer Lyrics

Dreamcatcher lyrics
Hear my silent prair,
heat my quiet call,
wonder darken loose sorround you.
Step into my sigh,
look inside the light,
you will know that I have found you.
Hear my silent prair,
heat my quiet call,
wonder darken loose sorround you.
Step into my sigh,
look inside the light,
you will know that I have found you.
…………………
Prayer
Let your arms enfold us
Through the dark of night
Will your angels hold us
Till we see the light
Hush, lay down your troubled mind
The day has vanished and left us behind
And the wind, whispering soft lullabies
Will soothe, so close your weary eyes
Let your arms enfold us
Through the dark of night
Will your angels hold us
Till we …read more
