Sensual ‘Krishna Radha’ Music from Rasa

Sensual ‘Krishna Radha’ Music from Rasa

One of the frequently visited blog post on New Age Vibe is The Bolo Hari Craze: Dance of Shakti to Dakini Lounge. I wrote it when I began blogging at New Age Vibe and it was about the track Bolo Hari by Prem Joshua which was first featured in his album Dance of Shakti and later remixed in many other albums. The beauty of the post is that it talked not just about the track but went a little behind the scene by narrating some gossiping stories about Radha, the eternal lover of Krishna.
In the same line of Bola …read more

An Ancient Muse celebrates the Romantic Past

An Ancient Muse celebrates the Romantic Past

When I heard the Youtube version of “The Gates of Istanbul” I was more inspired and tempted to listen the other tracks of An Ancient Muse. The story of my pursuit of this album is here. Actually the title of the album is very suggestive of its content – a romantic celebration of the ancient times.

Nearly decade after the release of “The Book of Secrets”, the Canadian singer Loreena McKennitt had released her album An Ancient Muse in the year 2006. The album gives you a mesmerizing listening experience by fusing the East and West.

After listening to other tracks I …read more

Wolf Song | Oliver Shanti

Wolf Song | Oliver Shanti

Here is another video post on Oliver Shanti’s music. It’s one of the most popular o Oliver Shanti’s composition: Wolf Song. Maybe this will acknowledge why I prefer Oliver Shanti to be the next one after Buddha Bar.

Here again, like in my previous post, the video has nothing to do with the original recording of Oliver Shanti. It’s just a mix of his music with some nice beautiful scenery.

Punjabi of Karunesh

Punjabi of Karunesh

Karunesh is one my favorite World Music artist. Here is one of my favorite tracks, Punjabi, from Global Spirit. You can listen to it below.

Note that the video has nothing to do with Karunesh’s Composition. It’s a mix of his music with some video by some Youtube user. Anyway, the video is nice and pictures a north Indian (probably, Punjabi) Girl and father.

Where to move from Buddha Bar Series? – Part II

Where to move from Buddha Bar Series? – Part II

Buddha Bar covered the whole arena of world music, but any careful listener would point out that European part of the series dominates than any other kind of music. I recommend Oliver Shanti’s Alhambra to compliment the Buddha Bar series which is filled with the dreams and fantasies of Asian, Oriental, Middle East music. I am a lover of both eastern and western music instruments alike. So I enjoy the European Buddha Bar and the Eastern Oliver Shanti’s Alhambra. Hope you too may like it!

My strange connection with Dylan Thomas

My strange connection with Dylan Thomas

Yesterday, I wrote on my favorite chill out Just Good Music. And I said
You can feel the European aura throughout this album and though I don’t understand the lyrics (and cannot make out whether it is French or Spanish or Italian or some other) the music gives me a soothing flashback feel
Leave about the European feel, for now. I have the soothing flashback feel listening to this album. Strangely, my favorite ‘Poem in October’ by Dylan Thomas seems to occupy mind. I like these lines so much, and now listening to this music album, I began to like these lines …read more

Where to move on after Buddha Bar?

Where to move on after Buddha Bar?

The answer is Buddha Attitude. If you like the Buddha Bar series, and want to listen to something that is as captivating as them, Buddha Attitude is one you are looking for. Definitely, this is not going to take on the same track as Buddha Bar (if it does that, I should be happy with Buddha Bar and not seek for this album), rather this album takes you to an altitude which you can appreciate well, if you are a chill and down-tempo fan.
Sensual and passionate, this music album is well chosen if you are playing it for …read more

Just Good Music

How do I feel this album?
Good Old Days lived again. And the title justifies the music.

Just Good Music, by Claude Challe and Jean Challe, is a trilogy that gives a music feel of the classic period to the modern day. The album contains 39 tracks in total and many of the tracks in this album remind me of the black-and-white days of the past (I mean the beginning of the movie era).
You can feel the European aura throughout this album and though I don’t understand the lyrics (and cannot make out whether it is French …read more
