Lawrence Blatt was announced as the winner of the Best New Artist award for the year 2007 on Sunday March 9th 2008. In the voice of people I wish Lawrence Blatt for this success and would wish him string his guitar the song of glory.

Lawrence Blatt, California-based composer and solo acoustic guitarist, is selected as a Finalist for the Best New Artist in the prestigious 2007 NAR Lifestyle Music Awards (NAR – New Age Reporter). Blatt reached the final list with his debut album “Out of the Woodwork” which was released in early 2007. Besides being nominated as a finalist for Best Album – New Age by the Independent Music Awards, this album also hit the top ten on the NAR TOP 100 chart.

After seeing his name as a finalist, Lawrence Blatt expressed “As a solo instrumentalist, I have to let my guitar be my voice,” Blatt says. “I try to create moods and express feelings by using alternate tunings, by careful attention to musical dynamics and intonation and by layering percussive sounds behind the main voice of the guitar.
