“I always think of my concerts as very theatrical. It’s a very inviting storytelling, intimate, living-room kind of concert. A lot of personality, a lot of great music, all the hits, a lot of relaxation, de-stressing, but also a lot of layered, funnier moments as well.

“After every concert, I send a thank-you to the people who came to the concert for coming, and a sort of added-value opportunity, a download they can’t get anywhere else. ‘Thank you for being there. Thank you for enjoying.”

“And so when a lot of my friends saw that I was, they said, ‘How do you do that? Why are your fans and friends so nice? Why do they appreciate you so much?”

“And I say, ‘Because I talk to them! And I don’t talk to them through my record company.”

The music was carefully chosen by Akbar to help babies yet to be born to better develop while the music “touches” them and reaches their developing ears. The reverberations of music are just as necessary as nourishment for developing embryos, Akbar said. “Music is a vibration and a baby needs clean and beautiful vibrations as much as it needs vitamins, protein and minerals, because what is inside me is not just a human body, but also a soul or spirit,” said Akbar. If babies hear music while in their mother’s womb, the transition to the outside world will also be made smoother, Akbar said. When the baby is born and listens to music he or she will recognize the tones, making it peaceful and happy. “Those tones will sound to his ears as familiar as the sound of his mother and father,” said Akbar. Akbar recommends to all pregnant women a steady auditory diet of the classics Mozart, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Chopin. She said soothing New Age music and Indian Ragas are appropriate for women who enjoy more ethnic or oriental music

She frequently hits United States and Europe to conduct workshops, master classes and live concerts. It’s none other than Sunita Staneslow who is an international artist known for her Celtic and Jewish music.

Sunita recently conducted two harp workshop sessions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the Music Loft at Hobgoblin. Many enjoyed the work shop and it’s so beautiful to string the harp. Actually I dream often to harp ancient songs (wondering, will it be dream-come-true desire?). I hope next time I wont miss Sunita’s Workshop.

After her last appearance 2 years ago, Enya made a rare public visit as she performed her hit song ‘Only Time’ and festive track ‘Adeste Fideles’ in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin. NTV (Japanese Television Network) filmed the singer’s performance for the Irish-themed Happy Christmas Show as a Christmas special for her Japanese fans.

Though Enya is shy towards cameras and press people, this is not her first recording for ‘Happy Christmas Show’. In 2005 she sang at Shimogamo Jinja shrine, Kyoto and for BBC Christmas special she sang the carol ‘Silent Night’ in Irish.

I wanted to tell my midos a very important thing that I cant stomach for a long time. A message from a secret agent says “There is going to be a rare interview of Enya Brennan on December 23, Sunday”. Hope you never reveal this to anyone.
