That’s my favorite song of this beautiful music album Mantras for Lovers. Sung by Rickie Moore and Henry Marshall, the song seems to be a beautiful romance between Shiva and Shakti. Henry’s voice is terrific!!!! You need to listen to appreciate the earthy voice of Henry which to an untuned ear may seem ghastly. When I heard the Youtube version of “The Gates of Istanbul” I was more inspired and tempted to listen the other tracks of An Ancient Muse. The story of my pursuit of this album is here. Actually the title of the album is very suggestive of its content – a romantic celebration of the ancient times.
