Ganga is a very sacred river in the Indian Mythology. Countless stories exist that tell you the sacredness of Ganga. And here are three great musicians that India ever had, giving a tribute to this sacred river through their music compositions: Ode to Ganga.

The album contains two tracks by Shiv Kumar Sharma, one by Hari Prasad Charausia and one by Vishwa Mohan Batt.

This album has no new compositions of these artists. You can call it an anthology of water-music compositions by these artists. ‘Ganga, Sangam’ and ‘Samudra Manthan’ by Shiv Kumar Sharma are earlier released in his music album, Elements: Water where as Delta – Journey to the Sea by Hari Prasad is released in his album Elements: Rivers. As far as Vishwa Mohan Batt’s Patway to Peace, I have to truthfully acknowledge I haven’t heard it before. (and so I don’t know if that is already included in any other album)

Together these four tracks bring the best of music tracks that has the feel of the element water in it. I, being a fan of Hari Prasad Charausia, have never felt bored listening to his track Delta, though it may be the only track played on my playlist for quite long time. Same is the case with Shiv Kumar Sharma’s music tracks. As far as Vishwa Mohan Batt’s track is considered, the album would have been better off without it. The track is a kind of odd-man-out and doesn’t actually mingle with the other tracks. That’s just my personal opinion, as people who like vocals more than plain music, may find this track likeable. It’s kinda chanting Aum and sacred chants.
