“I always think of my concerts as very theatrical. It’s a very inviting storytelling, intimate, living-room kind of concert. A lot of personality, a lot of great music, all the hits, a lot of relaxation, de-stressing, but also a lot of layered, funnier moments as well.

“After every concert, I send a thank-you to the people who came to the concert for coming, and a sort of added-value opportunity, a download they can’t get anywhere else. ‘Thank you for being there. Thank you for enjoying.”

“And so when a lot of my friends saw that I was, they said, ‘How do you do that? Why are your fans and friends so nice? Why do they appreciate you so much?”

“And I say, ‘Because I talk to them! And I don’t talk to them through my record company.”

I do remember writing on George Winston concert at Everett Theater on Jan. 12 Which include the striking lines “I do recording to get it done…A concert, I don’t want it to be over. It’s the reason we all began playing — we wanted to play.”
