I met Mido lastnight…
Mido? who is he? or who is she? For now let me ignore those questions. Mido is my friend and a passionate listener of music. Mido enjoys the music I listen and shares with me as I do with HimHer. In fact and in short, Mido is the embodiment of a passionate music lover, critic and commenter. Having said that let me say who it is. It is you, my readers, and any music lover for that matter.
I have said in my about me that I will be writing mostly with a personal touch. I feel this is important for the subject I write. But how do I call you? Without calling you out by name, any amount personal touch in my writing will not mean much. So thats the reason, I call you Mido. Other options are there…. Like calling you Hi Readers! or Hello Friend! or Dear Listeners or Hey you! but those doesnt look good and seems strange to repeat more than once in a blog. So I hope you will co-operate in my nick name for you….
So Mido, dont you want know what mido means? Ya, I know that some of you have guessed. I coined that word from the root word Midas, a character in the Greek mythology whose touch turned everything gold. I thought distorting a bit of his name would be good to have a symbolic meaning and also that I can define my own meaning, without being restricted by the mythological meaning. You can know more about Midas here, here or from the plenty here. Mido, you can be either a he or a she. That doesnt really matter. Share with me anything that is related to music and I will be a good listener and discuss with you with all my interest.
All that Mido needs is to give Midas Touch. But wait Mido, I meant Midas Touch for the blog and dont midas touch me, howsoever you like. I am a little, innocent, harmless boy. Mercy on me! :-)
