I read a press release and felt you maybe interested “On Friday, June 20th, 2008, internationally-renowned crossover violinist Omar Lopez will open for Grammy-nominated guitarist and multi-platinum selling recording artist Craig Chaquico on the stage of San Antonio’s Charline McCombs Empire Theatre. The intimate evening of world-class, adult contemporary music begins at 7:30 p.m”.
“Omar Lopez, a native of Austin, and his band will open the show and perform songs from his first two albums - “FOREVER RED” (released in 2005) and “EXPERIENCE” (released in 2007) - as well as new material from his as-yet-untitled, unreleased third album… Omar’s music has garnered critical acclaim in classical crossover and new age music communities around the globe, and his signature fusion of classical, jazz, rock, Latin, R&B, and electronica - along with his passionate performance style - are mirrored by the members of his six-piece backing ensemble.”
Greatness of his musical trait and violin tunes are obviously visible in this youtube video. Enjoy it!
Be my Goddess,
True and honest
Let your beauty shine…
Feel the passion,
Love in action
Our union is Divine…
That’s my favorite song of this beautiful music album Mantras for Lovers. Sung by Rickie Moore and Henry Marshall, the song seems to be a beautiful romance between Shiva and Shakti. Henry’s voice is terrific!!!! You need to listen to appreciate the earthy voice of Henry which to an untuned ear may seem ghastly. Rickie voice is lovely and floating on air, balancing the earthly Henry’s.
I like each and every song of this album. Mood is very romantic. If you have good understanding of love and devotion, and a liking to find new ways of expression of love, this album can turn your love into a beautiful tantric sex ritual and take your love-making to a new territory of orgasm. I recommend this album for my Midos.

2. Be My Goddess 2:52
3. Kang Kalika Hum Shivaya (Choral Version)13:18
4. Om Klim Kama 14:47
5. Oh, I Want You 3:27
6. Om Klim Kama 14:34
I have listened to countless new age music albums, ranging from the old pure devotional songs, which has nothing ‘new’ to it, yet calling ‘new age’, to the most modern remixes which has nothing of the ‘new age spirit’. Yet there has been no worse music than Girish’s Shiva Machine in the new age genre so far I have listened to.
But there are reviews in all praise for this junk-food album.
Pushing the limits of the chant music genre in the most brilliant way Girish is a dynamic and exciting artist. –Aura Magazine
“Masterpiece” is not too strong a term for this CD. If you’re open to chants supported by a contemporary jazz-funk feel, “Shiva Machine” is a kirtan tour de force. Check out Girish’s brilliant debut CD “Reveal” too! — Amazon Customer
To me it all seems like people dont really understand the eastern mysticism, the quality of vibration that it requires the music to produce and more importantly the science behind the sounds of mantras. I cannot recommend any of the tracks of Girish’s Shiva Machine for the reason that it distorts mantras so much so that, it’s just a junk music of the same blood-throbbing West with eastern lyric.
“Beloved” Osho is my guru for meditation. I love his speech, his guts and individuality. Earlier many months ago, I posted on the famous (notorious) talk on the usefulness of f**k and many should have had a bell laughter. Osho called himself ’spiritually incorrect mystic’ though he is the most correct of all masters we see today. Here is a video discourse of Vignan Bhairava Tantra (112 meditation techniques of ancient India).
PS: Calling OSHO ‘SEX GURU ‘ is no offense. He himself never felt so. It’s used only as an anchor point for delivering good message, as the master himself did so when he was alive.

On my brother’s son’s first birthday (which was at beginning of this month), one of the gifts he received was a music cd of Putumayo Kids’ Asian Dreamland. My very first impression about the music album, perceived by the wonderful artwork (see above) on the cover, was that this music album is lovely. My brother confirmed the same having seen his baby calming down gently and then falling asleep peacefully after listening to this music.
Asian Dreamland consisting of 10 tracks (mostly Japanese) is a wonderful collection of soft melodious songs for kids. If you have a child (ofcourse a naughty one) or your relative or friend has, gifting this music album is worth the money spent. I recommend this album for my midos.
Never heard of such albums in my life: music to keep the pet dog happy. I wonder how it works! Driven by curiosity, am purchasing this music album while posting this. I’m going to test it with my dog: Shiva, the enlightened dog, and review it here. While humans still struggle to understand the human mind, it’s complex thoughts, desires, anxieties etc., venturing to understand dog’s emotions seems fictional to me now. Anyway, no comments until the real test is made and the judge is my dog.
My dog licking and biting my legs now, doesnt know that he is going to review an album tomorrow! Poor dog, neither does he understand that the music is composed for him.
This is a track from The Heart of Reiki by Merlin’s Magic. I like this track and was giving a thought to purchase it. But now am divided: a glance at Amazon customer reviews makes me optionless. Wow, reviews in two extremes. I’m in a beautiful mess!
Here are some snippets form Amazon customer reviews:
Same notes over and over The same notes were played in the background over and over. It was annoying. It overshadowed what was probably some really good music. I just couldn’t focus on anything else but the notes in the background. I am returning it.
Awesome relaxing CD I absolutely love this CD. I purchased two- one for myself and one for my mom. We both listen to it to fall asleep at night. I also recommended it to my massage therapist who practices reiki.
Very boring I am a Reiki master practitioner and have my own business and am always looking for complementary music for my sessions. This CD may be relaxing but it is not uplifting or “energy-friendly”. To me, it seemed as if the producers of the CD didn’t put any effort into creating it, and just wanted to get it into the energy market.
Relaxing & Mello, Great for Massage, Meditation, Reiki As a massage therapist this is one of my overall favorites and one that my clients just love. I would rate this in my top 5 of all my massage / relaxation music. My clients –even the very stressed-out ones — are able to relax to this CD. I can still enjoy it as I listen to it everyday and not get tired of it. It takes my clients (and me) into a deeply relaxed state. The continous repetition of the simple theme and harmonies contribute to gentle and progressive slowing down of the body and mind into a meditative state.
Jeffrey Fisher’s consultant emailed me the other day noting that Jeffrey is making an album based on Bhagavat Gita. Needless to say, Gita has been one of the many text that influences my life. I have earlier written about Meditation on Gita by Ram Das in Pleasure of Losing Oneself in Meditation on Gita and in Meditations on Gita - Part II. Ram Das’s Gita is a reading of select quotes from Gita on a divine BGM. I love it till date. Jeffrey’s Gita still not released adds up expectations in my heart. Cant wait to see what it has to offer!! I found this interesting video on youtube as introduction to Jeffrey Fisher.
I regularly read books of Osho and found this interesting passage on anger. I’m sharing this with you hoping it might help someone. After all who is not angry?
Anger is natural, because you have not created it; you are born with it, endowed by nature. And nature must have some use for it, otherwise it cannot be given to you. But the society is against it; it says suppress it. And when you suppress anger, many more things are suppressed by it, because everything is interrelated in your inner being. You cannot suppress one thing; you cannot express one thing. You express one, millions are expressed; you suppress one, millions are suppressed…
from Until You Die, OSHO
Anger is just a mental vomit. Something is wrong that you have taken in and your whole psychic being wants to throw it out, but there is no need to throw it out on somebody. Because people throw it on others, society tells them to control it.
There is no need to throw anger on anybody. You can go to your bathroom, you can go on a long walk — it means that something is inside that needs fast activity so that it is released. Just do a little jogging and you will feel it is released, or take a pillow and beat the pillow, fight with the pillow, and bite the pillow until your hands and teeth are relaxed. Within a five-minute catharsis you will feel unburdened, and once you know this you will never throw it on anybody, because that is absolutely foolish.
