New Age Vibe

Who am I and what am I here for?

Hi listeners, I just thought it would be a good idea to write a post on what I will be writing in this blog. You can have a glance here and get to know what you can expect of me and this blog.

What am I like?
I am a new age junkie, and like most new agers, I believe devising my own path to spiritual exploration. My spiritual journey is nothing very pious and ritual. It can be described very briefly: Zorba the Buddha. I know you gotta frown on me if that doesn’t serve as a description! Be easy, you can actually know a lot on that after reading my posts for a while. New Age Music came along my path to Zorba the Buddha some 7 years ago and I found it very beautiful, charming and seductive. Since then we are good friends, or rather, soul mates. I will soon be writing a post on New Age Music which would contain my perception of the subject and will link it here.

What am going to scrap here?
For most of the posts, I would like to maintain a personal touch. But that doesnt mean that I am going to leave you out there bored and keep telling my own stories. I try to keep my posts as interesting diary notes that you can always peep through. I will be writing about my favorite new age musicians and my favorite tracks that I listen to in my various moods. I believe though the reasons differ for each one of us to be happy or sad, we all share common emotions (not a typical Jungian idea, but a little similar to that, you may say) And the music that soothed me for a particular mood, may do the same for you.

My Gurus:
My initiation into New Age Music followed closely after I first listened to Prem Joshua and Karunesh, I owe them a lot and will be spending a couple of weeks writing on their music albums. I may also refer them frequently in my posts. Pardon me! I can’t help it. They form my understanding and perception of New Age Music and I can’t but helplessly name them out of my overflowing gratitude.

A Small Anecdote:
At the age of 14, like a typical teen ager I developed a dislike for my family and thought of running out of home. OOPS and Thanks to music! That didn’t happen. I was very much worried that I cannot listen to my favorite music once I go out and cannot imagine a life without it. I kept pondering over the thought and fear for several days, until gradually, I dropped out the idea.
